My husband and I attended Catholic mass with some of our friends tonight. It was a wonderful experience worshipping with Jesus believers.
The priest who conducted the service is of Polish descent and has an adorable accent, though he spoke English fluently.
He said two things tonight that were especially meaningful to me.
First, he said that if there was room for a donkey at Christ’s birth, there was room for you to come to Jesus. I loved that!
Truly if a donkey was welcome to adore Christ, then you. And me. We, too, are welcomed, wanted, and invited.
The priest also said when we are possessed with peace, joy, and love, we are open to the grace of Jesus.
I also loved that.
How much Satan seeks to disrupt our peace, joy, and love so as to limit the influence and grace of Christ in our lives.
Unto all the world: these are some really good words to ponder this Christmas.
