Springin’, Flingin’ or Singin’

Most of us are springin’ while others of us are flingin’ (ugh, snow that is) and some of us may be singin’ for the love of spring and to praise Him that it’s finally coming on the heels of a cold and snowy winter.

Whatever April 16th, 2024 has you doing, today at Untoalltheworld, it’s a spring celebration!

Here in the mountains away from crazy and short commutes, it’s slowly melting snow with sun. I’ll take it. It’s beautiful. Mornings and evenings are still chilly, but I’ve already cleaned the pellet stove and have kept it off as of a few days ago. So far, it’s been slightly chilly at times but doable keeping it off as we welcome a slowly encroaching spring. However it comes, it is super duper welcome up here.

I love the promise of all that grows and lives in the spring.

Spring is such a beautiful symbol of eternal truths, of things that die and are reborn in a better place – one without mortal limits and frustrations.

Spring is about new beginnings, fresh starts, holy happenings. How fitting a time for the Lord of all Lords to be resurrected! And the Restoration – how glorious that it began in the spring of 1820.

Seeds are lovely little reminders of rejuvenation, of upward reaching for bright light, of awakening from sleepy slumber.

I share here this sweet little primary song about spring and all the wonders therein – to most fully, it seems, be appreciated through the eyes of child-like wonder and awe.

Unto all the world: Let us awake this spring with a new awareness of and propensity towards higher light. “Higher, Father, higher!” (Uchtdorf, D., “A Higher Joy, General Conference, April 2024)

I can’t wait for your flowers to bloom. Tulips 🌷 are one of my favorites. Make sure to take a moment to enjoy them before the deer take a moment to enjoy them. Thank you for the spring time cheer. 😀

  3. Our neighbor’s pasture is visible from the big dining room window, he raises sheep and every spring the lambs are born! I tell him all the time the joy those babies bring to me! I love spring too!
