The Sweetest of Things

Some experiences in life are good. Many are memorable. Others are incredibly sweet.

I had an event – the sweetest of things – in which my siblings and I were involved on 22 December. That day, our mom turned 70 earth years old.

She’s really something wonderful. All those 70 years have been spent in the service of her God. As evidence, her physical presence radiates a sanctified glow.

With the appreciated help of the good man at her side, a surprise birthday celebration was held in her honor, and every one of us seven kiddos showed up and surprised her.

It was incredibly special.

I’m so thankful for my family, for my siblings, for my mom, for my dad (who graduated from his mortal test years ago), for a wonderful step-dad and for all with which God has blessed the family in which I grew up.

I love my family.

Unto all the world: I declare my witness that I know families are ordained of God and can offer some of the sweetest of things here on planet earth.

Oh my goodness! Your mother and I are the same age!! You have such a beautiful family. Your mother looks like ‘one of the girls’. 🙂 I’m sure she was absolutely thrilled to have you all there to celebrate with her.

    1. Thanks, LaDawn. My mom looks awesome, doesn’t she? It was so special. Yay for 70! Love and hugs.
